About
Alec
My passion for human performance began in high school. As a basketball player and multi-event track and field athlete, I wanted every edge I could get. After adopting a serious weight training regimen since the age of 15, I decided to shift my focus to powerlifting, where I went on to set multiple national records, including a 507 squat at 16 learning and training under world renowned powerlifting coach Josh Bryant.
My junior year of high school, I began coaching multiple lifters for free. I quickly recognized that I was good at what I did and decided to pursue a formal education in a relevant field - physical rehabilitation sciences.
Since then, I’ve garnered over 1000 hours of healthcare practice as a physical therapy aide in addition to my experience as an intern strength coach at numerous pro & collegiate strength and conditioning facilities.
Exposure to industry professionals, experience coaching 100+ lifters, combined with my passion to connect with like-minded individuals helped me build an online community and social media presence with almost 50,000 followers and 10M+ monthly viewers.
I’ve also had the pleasure to start and lead my university’s weight training community, which has allowed me to further connect with and reach other fellow lifters and coaches.
I plan on continuing my doctorate degree in physical therapy and pursuit of knowledge - pushing boundaries of what lifters like us, can achieve with evidence-based training.
Let’s get strong.

About
Alan
While I’ve developed my love for athletics as a kid, my liking towards strength centric movements, specifically powerlifting, solidified during my junior year of undergrad after a flu-ridden first powerlifting meet. I’ve since then made it my goal to compete at the collegiate level. Although I may not be the most genetically gifted athlete or set national records, I’ve successfully manipulated training variables to suit my needs and achieved my goal of qualifying and competing at the 2022 Collegiate Nationals in the 67.5kg weight class.
My knowledge base of programming and coaching stems of years of learning from well-esteemed powerlifters, evidence-based research, personal experiences, and from mentoring friends and family. I am currently in my final year of my Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy at Boston University. I’ve successfully completed 2 rounds of clinical rotations where I had the chance to learn from former powerlifting coaches, rehab experts, and other industry professionals. This educational background allows me to integrate rehabilitation sciences with weight training to deliver a unique mix.
I have made it my goal to continue enriching myself with information and to utilize my understanding of evidence-based training, movement and pain science, as well as biomechanics to holistically coach all lifters regardless of gender, athletic background, and lifestyle towards their goals.
Let’s work.
